Mottaret, France Resort Details

Mottaret at 1700m is a small village on the east-facing side of the Meribel valley and is ideal for skiers who want a little variety: Forming part of the "Trois Vallees" ski area with access to more than 200 lifts serving 600km of well-kept piste you can ski all week without getting bored! In Mottaret there are easier pistes just below the Plattières gondola and the higher resort is favoured by the intermediates and experts with long runs and great off piste on Mont Vallon. For those wanting an easier pace head to the lovely boulevard pistes while experts tackle the notorious Courchevel couloirs and Chanrossa bumps. When the cloud comes down why not try the forest runs down to La Tania and Le Praz. Apres Ski is limited but fun. There are unfortunately not that many catered chalets to choose from.
