Alpe d'Huez, France

One of France's largest resorts, offering great skiing on sunny slopes and the apres ski has enough to keep even the hardened party goers happy and there are also a few decent restuarants here. However, although the lift system is efficient, it is not the most pretty of resorts and it is somewhat spread out. Skiing will suit all abilities - from the nursery slopes in the centre of town, to the long cruisy blues and reds and of course the not to be missed 16km Black run - La Serenne and the great off piste adventures. Also very popular with snowboarders. Plenty of chalets of varying standards - although not much at the higher end of standard ratings.

We have 24 chalets in Alpe d'Huez >>

Argentiere, France

Argentière is one of the several smaller resorts that make up the massive Chamonix ski area. It is popular with advanced skiers and where most of the "epic Chamonix stories" relate to! The Grands Montets offers some of the best and most difficult off-piste and black-piste skiing anywhere, but just make sure you take a guide if venturing away from the marked trails or you may end up in a dark crevasse. Unfortunately the down side of skiing here is the unreliable buses and the frequent crowds to deal with.

We have 4 chalets in Argentiere >>

Chamonix, France

Chamonix is arguably one of Europes top ski resorts for the more experienced skier and party animal alike! The pretty town is blessed with magnificent scenery and is situated below the awe inspiring Mont Blanc and crammed with attractive, traditional buildings. There are 5 ski areas which are spaced out along the valley and reached by bus. There are plenty of great bars, shops, cafes and restaurants. Conditions and ability permitting, ski the 'Vallee Blanche' with a guide for the most amazing powdery and scenic descent! Whilst not hundreds of chalets in this resort, we are sure we can find you something that fits the bill.

We have 18 chalets in Chamonix >>

Chatel, France

Courchevel 1550, France

This resort is part of the enormous "Trois Vallees" ski area - offering around 600km of runs. Courchevel 1650, France

Referred to by some as "The Real Courchevel", this resort, whilst still part of the 600km ski region of the "Trois Vallees", is quieter and less expensive than its slightly higher sister - Courchevel 1850. It has a pretty, old village centre with lively bars and peacefully situated chalets and offers great access to 1850 and the surrounding area. There are good nursery slopes at the bottom of 1650 for those new to skiing, whilst for the rest of you - the possibilities are endless in this vast ski area. There are several chalets of all standards, in great locations, and it is becoming a more and more popular place to stay.

Not many chalets here, but those there are are first class.

We have 2 chalets in Crans Montana >>

Klosters, Switzerland

Frequented by Royalty, Klosters is part of the Davos ski network. They share the Parsenn ski area, but the 2 towns are 10km apart and Klosters has its own ski area, the Madrisa. There are great restaurants on the mountain and off and most guests prefer to spend the evenings in the luxury of their own chalet. For those choosing not to ski there is a sports centre, ice-skating, sleigh rides and sled runs down the front of the Gotschna. There are plenty of beautifulwalks up and down the valley by the river and up the mountains. There is also a wonderful restaurant that you can walk up to and sleigh down from! The skiing is suitable for all abilities. For the more experienced skiers there is good on- and off-piste, whilst intermediates have plenty of long cruising blues and reds. Novices head to the Parsenn for the more gentle runs. The lift system at Klosters has been slightly updated and there is the new Gotschna cable car, named after Prince Charles. Lech, Austria

Lech is an attractive, chic and traditional resort that has an upmarket feel to it and a somewhat more subdued apres ski tone to it than its neighbour, St Anton. The skiing is a lot more cruisy than St Anton, so always a good place to go to by bus to get those ski legs on again. The down side to Lech is the lack of chalets - there are only a few here and nothing is really on the upmarket side.

We have 5 chalets in Lech >>

Especially with the new Vanoise Express linking Les Arcs with La Plagne, the skiing here is good for all abilities from beginners to adrenaline junkies.
